1. What are the top questions your audience asks you?
The best way to come up with blog post topics is to see what type of content your audience has been asking for. You’re probably going to see patterns in the types of questions your audience or clients ask you.
If you start to hear questions from multiple people, it’s something that you can write about and teach your audience. Pay attention to questions you hear on client calls, in your Facebook groups and anywhere else you’re communicating with your audience.
If you aren’t quite sure what’s on your audience’s mind, you can send them a survey and ask them to tell you exactly what they have questions about. You’ll get great insight on future content to create and it can help you plan your next few blog posts.
2. What need do you solve?
Think about the need you solve for you audience. You may be filling the need for delicious, gluten-free recipes or preparing them to buy their first home. Whatever need you solve, break it down into subcategories that relate to their ultimate need. All those subcategories you come up with are now potential blog post ideas!
An easy way to come up with multiple blog posts is to figure out the steps people need to take to reach their end goal. Let’s use the first time homebuyer as an example. There are multiple steps they’ll need to take in order to go from searching for a home to finalizing the purchase. Create a blog post for each step. You can even turn it into a series!
3. How can you help your audience get results?
Let your audience know you’re an expert in your field by sharing your knowledge and helping them get results. Free content is a great way to show your audience what you know, how you teach and how much value you provide to them.
